Another space and time…. Combined and caught on camera

It’s often said that I come from another space and time. In fact people I know have asked me why I came back from the 60’s at all (my answer was that the wormhole I climbed through shut and now I’m stuck here)

Any way, this is my way of telling you that I’ll post my recording tonight so that I can work on the next one. I’m incredibly excited about it. I hope you like it as much as I do. I did my best in the heat.

I also plan on working out tonight. I feel excited about that, too.

Btw, The Rolling Stones are coming!!!!
Ohhh, and Adam, the new bass is incredible, thanks fretted instruments. Thanks Danelectro. Now to get a telecaster and an Airline. My life will be complete then.

Sunday Afternoon

Well, what a way to finish up my day. I’m sitting here, listening to Hendrix, the sun disappeared and I’m probably about to get stuck into the guitaring half of my evening. Yesterday I went and put some money down on Adam and Nik and the funniest thing happened. Nik, also happened to be the name of the guy working behind the counter at Fretted Instruments at the time. He wasn’t the guy that assisted me when I went into the store last week, that was the owner, who’s name escapes me. The reason why this is so bemusing is  that when I bought my Silvertone from the same store with the previous owner, I had decided to name it Billy, then found out that the owner’s name was Billy. Only at Fretted.

Anyway, I’m pretty happy with my new purchases, which will cost me a total of $800, I’ve also sorted out an Apogee Duet so that I can record, which has me excited. Now if I can sort out some nice pedals, I’ll be all set.

I spent most of today drumming and I’ll tell you all about that tomorrow.

The best kind of day of all

So it’s Saturday, which means two things for me.

Firstly, I get to go back to Fretted Instruments and visit Adam and Nik (the Danelectro bass and no name amp) and find out how much that will cost me and what we can do about that.

The second thing is that I can come home and play drums for as long as I like. As silly as it sounds, I miss my drum kit sometimes. I hate the fact that it feels like I can hardly ever just take my sweet time with it, that only once a week I get to relax and spend as much time as I want on it – if I’m lucky. In most cases it’s not like that at all. I spend my days at work, I might get in a cheeky hit in the morning for half an hour, or a little more at night, but other than that, nothing till the weekend. I also find it counter productive if I feel like I’m on a schedule. It makes me nervous. At least once a week I have lessons, which is a bit better because it’s a whole hour of drums and music with someone that gets it.

Anyway, I have so much to do today that I’m going to leave it at that. Ohhhh, and get down to Station 59 in Richmond tomorrow from 3pm for some real nice music.
