Up early, more Stonefield and song of the day by Washington.

My day last night went as follows – early to bed, late to rise. I seem to be trying to catch up on all the sleep I missed in feb. maybe I’m just hibernating? I have a list of stuff I need to do (guitars, drums, good, cleaning) but instead I’ll take a nap. I did manage to get up early and make myself breakfast and do some cleaning, but probably not nearly enough.

The cleaning gave me a good chance to take a listen to the latest a Stonefield album. There’s some good stuff on there. They’re playing a gig at Northcote Social Club tomorrow night and I’m tempted to go and catch the whole set. I’ve also heard good things about King Of The North so that might be good to see too. Even if I don’t go, you should. I may actually be playing drums, what’s your excuse?

Song Of the day is One Man Band by Washington. It reminds me of several gigs where I’ve been accused (and perhaps rightfully) of treating the band as if there’s only one person in it. In my defence, it would have to be a bloody special person to make me forget that there are other people on the stage. Either that or the rest of the band just aren’t that interesting (I kid, of course) anyway, here is the song.

(Tragically, I can’t find a YouTube clip for this song. It’s a good song, download it from iTunes)
