Music

Well, I spent the weekend with my nephews and did a lot of cleaning, but now, I’m ready to go again. My nephews are like magnets for my guitars, especially the young one. He sneaks if into my room some times to have a play. He’s one and a half and heads straight for my bloody Maton every time. It’s pretty adorable.

I’ve also been listening to a lot of different stuff recently. As I power down from Bruce, I find myself going back through my music collection and rediscovering my love of Snow Patrol. Snow Patrol are one of a few bands who have the ability to take me back to a certain time in my life. In fact, given my stupidly accurate memory I have dates – December 1 2008 – April 13 2009.

It’s funny how there are some songs or bands that just seep into your DNA. Snow Patrol are one of them. I missed out on seeing them once. They were playing on my birthday, but it clashed with another gig so I never got tickets. Ohhhh well, thems the breaks. I’m sure there are other bands or songs that do the same thing and over March I’ll go back through my collection and see what I can dig up. Hopefully I can create some kind of musical timeline to explain my current state of existence.

For now, I leave you with Snow Patrol’s Crack The Shutters. It reminds me of April 2nd, 2009. Enjoy

P.S I was going to leave you with We Can Run Away Now They’re All Dead And Gone, but I can’t seem to find a YouTube Video for it. Look it up and enjoy. We’ll call that song April 10, 2009

Have a great day.
